Marin Headlands

Yesterday, Joe and I went hiking in the Marin Headlands for the very first time (and how long have we been living in the Bay Area?) And now I know why mountain biking was popularized in Marin.

It was a beautiful day, sunny, fairly clear, you could even see Mount Diablo. (In the summer, the area is covered by fog). We walked long and far: we were really aching, and our feet were sore. When I got home, I looked up the trail map to calculate how far we walked. 7 miles.

One of the things on my long-term to do list is to calculate how many miles we traveled on our 6-month Asian odyssey. It’s a very nerdy thing to do, but the curiousity consumes me.
