Worm paper

In poking through the wriggly ranch, seeing the remains of what the worms eat is pretty interesting. Eugene commented that one should avoid feeding corn cobs to the worms, but I’ve found that they like clinging into kernel niches. The cob doesn’t disintegrate structurally, but the worms manage to eat a lot of what human teeth can’t get to, because the cobs I’ve removed are significantly lighter.

Neatest of all is cantaloup paper. The worms consumed the pale orange and green edge flesh of the melon, leaving nothing but the clean brown lacey peel. Very pretty! I may collect them for use in making greeting cards!
