Library queue

Finds at the library:

LISTENING TO: Floetry (2 women rappers from England. Apparently they wrote “Butterflies” for Michael Jackson.)

READING: On Food and Cooking by Harold McGee (the updated edition.) I may actually breakdown and buy the book . . . if it comes out in a paperback. My bookshelves are bursting at the seams.

You know, the next best thing to sliced bread (which does not actually add that much to my life, since I don’t eat that much bread), is being able to put books on hold at the library. Sure it requires patience, and I won’t be able to check out the new Harry Potter book until next summer, as there are 70 people ahead of me in queue. But to save me the trouble of checking the shelves, and saving money by not buying books or more bookshelves, it’s great. Especially when you forget that there are books out there you want to read, it’s almost like a Netflix list that remembers for you all these movies you want to see.
