After eight years . . . .

I finally felt free again on Tuesday night. . . to feel pride in being a flag-waving, red-white-and-blue bleeding American.

Thank you Obama.

Now I have to go retrieve my scrunched-up copy of the New York Times that I tossed into the recycling bin, per usual habit. Isn’t it amazing that newspapers were sold out and are reprinting copies of this ‘historic’ edition, because so many people want to have hard copies of November 5, 2008 newspapers as collector items.

Someone out there is probably selling highlight reels of video clips related to this campaign (the way they sell Super Bowl highlights on DVDs). But by gum, people still want to buy newspapers as commemoratives for this occasion. (As opposed to things like ‘Super Bowl Champion’ T-shirts.) Wow.
